About Us
Avian Organics is a family owned and operated business, located on beautiful
Vancouver Island, B.C.  Our love of exotic birds began over 30 years ago.
The passion and inspiration for Avian Organics evolved from seeing our own
parrots thrive beautifully on an organic diet. We were creating our own mixes
and eventually started sharing these custom blends with friends in the avian
community. The enthusiastic response was our motivation to launch our own
line of premium organic foods and snacks for birds. We believ e the optimal
diet for exotic birds is an all-organic diet, free of chemical preservatives.
We are extremely proud of the steady growth of our company and very pleased
with the wonderful feedback we receive from our customers!
Avian Organics' goal is to provide foods that are superior to commercially
made products which list soy, corn and wheat as main ingredients. Soy has
been shown to contribute to hormonal imbalances and has  been suspected to
attribute to plucking issues. For these reasons, none of our products contain
soy or soy by-products. We know that many birds are wheat sensitive; our
parrot foods and treats incorporate easily digested ancient grains that are
well-tolerated by wheat sensitive birds.
Variety is most definitely life-enriching for our parrots. Avian Organics
commitment is to supply a variety of products that are not only healthy
and nutritious, but are  interesting and fun to eat!
We continue to grow and expand; researching and developing new food and
treat products for companion parrots. Often, we work closely with other organic
companies that supply us with unique and wholesome original bird food products.
Those items are produced to our high standards, incorporating the ingredients
we specify.
None of our Organic bird foods are intended or suggested to be the sole  diet
for any parrot. Avian Organics parrot foods and treats should be offered
as a compliment to fresh vegetables, fruits, sprouts and nuts.
We are dedicated to improving and enriching the lives of companion parrots
through a diet of 100% Organic foods and treats.
All of our Organic foods are made with premium quality ingredients. We are
very proud to support various Certified Organic Canadian farmers who supply
us with many of the fine ingredients we use.
