quick answers to any questions you may have regarding Avian Organics parrot
foods and treats.

Do you send free samples?
We truly wish we could! So many people inquire about samples, and it's tough
for us to say "no".
We are a rapidly growing family business and at this time, with the high costs
of shipping,
we simply cannot supply free samples.
How do I get on your Newsletter subscriber list?
Simply email us and we'll take care of the rest! Newsletters are sent at the
end of each month.

How soon after I place my order will it be shipped?
Normally, orders are processed and sent within 3 business days.
During peak times, there are delays. Many of our products are hand-mixed FRESH
and made in small batches.
We always let our customers know an approximate shipping date and of course
tracking service is provided.
Which Avian Organic parrot foods are best for my ___________ parrot?
Each of the products in our web store have descriptions that should assist
our customers in making appropriate food or treat selections.
If you're still uncertain which foods or treats are suitable for your birds,
please contact us anytime.
We are happy to send species specific food suggestions for your birds!
What's the difference between "Certified Organic" and "Natural" parrot
foods?
The term 'Natural' sounds nice, doesn't it? However, the truth is - 'natural'
really only means one thing. During the processing, nothing has been added.
In other words - if blueberries are an ingredient, no sugars or oils were added.
BUT - the berries were NOT grown on a Certified Organic farm.
The ingredient has been grown with the use of pesticides, fertilizers and nasty
chemicals.
For us, 'Natural' is simply not good enough. We believe exotic birds deserve
much more!
Our parrot foods and treats are made with sustainable organically grown ingredients
by farmers who are passionate about organic foods.
Are all of your ingredients Certified Organic, even the spices & herbs?
Yes! Every single spice, herb, fruit, grain, sprouting seed, flours, seeds,
vegetable and fruit powders we use are Certified Organic.
We purchase from reputable suppliers in Canada and the US.
The bulk of our ingredients are USDA Certified Organic.
In addition, we deal with a few local organic farms that are certified under
COABC, such as IOPA.
We believe in promoting the vital role of local organic agriculture and purchase
locally whenever possible.
Are your dried fruits and/or vegetables sulphate-free?
Yes! We only deal with suppliers that do not carry or distribute any products
that contain sulphur dioxides.
All of our Organic parrot foods and treats are completely preservative free.
Your products look and sound so tasty! Can people eat them too?
Yes! We have several items that are designed for parrots to share with their
humans.
Our ingredients are all human-grade organic, and perfectly safe for human consumption.
Check out our Mayan Crunch and Cravings - both these treats are ideal as "sharing
snacks".
Why don't you include printed/paper invoices or receipts with orders?
We do our small part to help the environment. Our shipping cartons are always
recycled and most packing boxes are from organic suppliers. We keep all printing
to a bare minimum.
If a customer requests a printed invoice, we'll include one.
Do you ship to all US states?
We certainly do and always have! We ship to Hawaii and Alaska and have many
customers in both these states.
Many companies will only ship within the continental US. We want parrots everywhere
to have access to our unique foods and treats. We also ship ANYWHERE within
Canada of course!
Why can't I find your products at pet stores in my area?
At this time, we have a very limited number of wholesale clients.
These are not brick and mortar stores, and our wholesale clients carry only
a few Avian Organics foods. Our web site is the ONLY place to purchase our
full line of unique parrot foods and treats.
Can we pick up our orders at your place of business?
No. We are an Internet based store only. However, if you are located near us,
we are happy to meet our customers within
a reasonable distance, to drop off your order. During busy times, we are unable
to offer drop-off service.
Do you give discounts to sanctuaries and/or rescue organizations?
Yes, we try to accommodate these types of requests.
We work with each organization on an individual basis. Discounts are based
on order volume.
Do you take 'custom' or special orders?
Yes, in some cases we do! We can create a custom seed mix or even a customized
cook at home mash.
Can I call you to place my order?
Of course! We take phone orders all the time.
We understand that some customers like to discuss their choices before completing
an order.
